Talking with Kids

As a teacher, I often wonder what students say about my class when they are home. Some students probably never mention it. Others might have very positive things to say; others, very negative things. Each student comes away with their own view of a class, as well as their own take on what the teacher should have done differently. But as humans, we often feel people talk about us far more than they actually do.
So what is your take on the matter as parents? Are your children generally happy with how school is going? Do they wish things were done differently? Do they mention school at all?
And how do you get your child to start a dialect about the classroom?

I would love to hear your opinions on all this!
